Oh little girl. My independent, brave, silly little girl. I have really noticed this past month that you're wanting to be more independent and take on more responsibilities. Which is nice at times because you'll occasionally put your shoes in your closet for me, go get diapers or the bumbo or whatever I need for Brooksy at the time, and you'll help your story time teacher pass out and pick up the toys and books. But it also has come with a price. You sometimes think it's a choice to hold hands crossing the street and sometimes want to see how far you can get from mom and dad before we call you back... and then sometimes want to take another step to see what we'll do. The latest thing that you are ALL ABOUT is opening the door to the garage when we are about to leave. IT IS HADLEY'S JOB. Apparently. You'll yell, "I get da dowa!" and ruuuuun to it and put your hand on the knob and wait. The times that I've had to peel you away because you don't have shoes on or we're not leaving yet you have thrown some pretty big tantrums. It's just so funny how obsessed you are with getting the door. As soon as we pull in the drive way I'll hear from the back seat, "Can I get da dowa? I get da dowa!" We'll see how long this phase lasts.
You're really pretty cute when you interact with your brother these days. We're still working on sharing and not grabbing things out of his hand. I love when you call him buddy! Today I heard you say, "You can touch my blanket buddy." It's so sweet!
I love you sweetie! You are my sunshine!
