First Black Eye

 Last weekend we took a trip to Lubbock which is, by the way, 6 hours in the car to Lubbock and 6 hours in the car back. That's a long time for a baby. So being the good mom I am I packed a ton of toys to entertain Hadley... including hard plastic rattles. Lesson learned. We weren't even to Abilene when Hadley whacked herself right under her eye with one of these hard plastic rattles.  Poor baby didn't know what happened. She cried for a little bit, but was very brave. In no time at all it whelped up with a bruise. I took a picture of it right after it happened...

The next day it looked more like a black eye then a whelp. I think it gives her street cred. What do you think? : )
