Brooks 8 Months

Hey Buddy!
You are 8 months old and I cannot wrap my head around it! There's no way... times just going by TOO fast! You have hit a major milestone this month... actually on the day you turned 8 months... you are CRAWLING! And getting better and better at it everyday. You are loving your new independence. You see Hadley running around and have always wanted to join in her fun. You'll fuss and reach for her telling me that you want to be mobile too! Well, darling, you're on your way! Don't get me wrong, yes, you love your new independence, but you still want mama to hold you. A lot. It used to be that in order for me to get anything done I'd have to set you down and you'd start crying and roll on your back, but now I'll set you down and you'll start crying but you'll try to follow me throughout the house. It's so sweet. I hope you're a mama's boy forever!
We're still waiting on you to get teeth. You're a late bloomer in the teeth department, but no worries, so was I. I turned out with all my teeth, so I'm sure you'll get yours eventually!
You are loving all the new foods that I'm feeding you. I try and give you healthy foods, but your favorite thing to eat is a Popsicle. You LOVE those! And your sisters pretty good about sharing hers with you.
I love to listen to you guys make each other laugh. Just this morning I was listening to y'all laugh at each other in your high chairs over breakfast. Goodness you love her. And she's pretty fond of you, too. If we ever leave you with Daddy to go run a girls errand she will always ask where Gwooks is.
Funny story: We are in the midst of potty training Hadley. We had her training Elmo potty in the living room and all of us were in there encouraging her to go when we finally got her to tee tee in it! Dad and I were so excited that we scooped her up and took her into the kitchen for a treat. Suddenly we heard her elmo potty flush from the living room and it hit me... BROOKS! Yes, you got a little wet. I'm still getting used to you being mobile... and curious!
I love you so much sweetheart!
Always,
Mommy
