Hadley's Dogs

I got this sweet video of Hadley petting her dogs the other night. It was so cute. She is learning what gentle means through these patient dogs!

11 Months

Oh my sweet, precious Haddie Faye. You are 11 months old. This makes your mommy so happy, but honestly a little sad, too. I am so very happy that you are an active, healthy, learning and growing daily, BEAUTIFUL little 11 month old. Selfishly, though, I'm sad time is going by so quickly!
11 months ago we were saying, "She could come anytime!  When will she get here? I wish the days would go by faster so we can meet her!" Now, I'm wishing the days were longer so I could keep you little. But, just as God intends, you are growing and as you grow you are continually possessing my heart.
This month has brought along a new tooth and with that tooth another ear infection to battle. You poor thing, with every tooth that you get you seem to get an ear infection on the side. In fact, when we were taking these 11 month pictures you were currently sick and battling another ear infection while getting another tooth! That makes 4 up top and 2 on the bottom. You are eating pretty much whatever me and your dad eat, which means my meals get cut in half because you LOVE to eat! We have started introducing you to whole milk, but you still mostly drink formula.
You have a few new tricks that you love to do. You clap when you hear us say YAY, you sign 'more' to us, you love to click your tongue, and you are becoming so much more giggly! You walk so well! You are everywhere and fast, too! You hardly ever cry when you fall; you just pick yourself up and continue on. You love to play chase down the halls! I'll follow you saying, "I'm gonna getcha!" and you just giggle and pick up speed. It's so adorable!
You still love to read. The other day daddy and I were sitting on the couch and you were playing on the floor where we couldn't see you but we could hear you. You had all your books around you and you were "reading" them all, one at a time. It was so precious! We would sneak peeks at you and finally you caught us looking and gave us a big grin!
Soon you'll be 1 year old. I'm in full party planning mode. It's going to be a lot of fun celebrating little bitty YOU!
You are such a joy. Your mommy and daddy love you more then you will ever know!
Always,
Mommy

Poor thing, you were still sick with a mild fever during this photo shoot. This was most
definitely the hardest shoot yet, but you pulled through for mommy
and put on a smile for a few pictures!

You just look so out of it in this first one. But you're still as cute as can be!

This one makes me smile, because I finally got you to smile, but I can
tell that your eyes look a little glazed over from fever. You were trying so
hard for me, though!

You LOVE to clap! All we have to do is say YAY and you start clapping.

Love this one! Hamming it up for the camera!

 You're laughing at daddy here!

That's my girl! Wreck em Tech!

 Oh no...

 All better.

Nature Walk

Ok, I know this sounds odd, but I have been looking forward to having a nature walk with Hadley for awhile! It is so exciting for me to see her discover and learn. I love how curious she is and how everything is new! She loved our mini walk! (We walked two houses down and turned around to head back... hey, that's a lot for such tiny legs!) When we came in she fussed a little, because she wanted to do more exploring. I told her we'd go back tomorrow and she calmed down. I want to do as much exploring as we can before it gets too cold out. It feels really good in the evenings right now so we're planning to take advantage!

Learning to sign...

We've been half-heartedly working on sign language with Hadley for awhile, but we were still really excited when she started signing back to us! The other night we got video of her signing 'more' to me during dinner. She's a genius! : )
