And the best daddy award goes to... my kids daddy.
Seriously. Camping out in the backyard was all his idea. And he was pumped about it. He even took Haddie and Brooks to Academy to get sleeping bags. The kids "helped" set up the tent and we ate hot dogs and smores. Hadley was terrified of the fire. She especially didn't like it when Shane would squirt lighter fluid on it.
At bedtime, Mama and the boys went in to sleep in our beds and Hadley slept in the tent with her daddy. They made it all night, which surprised me. I thought they'd come in around midnight at the latest.
I think this is one memory that Hadley will hang on to. She talked about it for days. I mean, she loved it. Thank you, Shane, for being such a wonderful father to our children. They love you so much and your love for them shows in all of your words and actions.
