First Date

A couple weeks ago Shane's parents came in town and let us go on a date. This was the first date we've been on since Hadley's been born so I was a little nervous leaving her.
Shane had won a gift card to a restaurant in Bonham so he took me for a night on the town in little ol' Bonham, Texas! We had a wonderful time. We laughed more then we'd laughed in a while and just enjoyed each others company. When you have a baby your time with just you and your spouse gets really limited so it was nice to focus on each other for a few hours.
After dinner Shane decided to really spoil me so he took me to the only place you can get dessert in Bonham- Braums! We split a banana split and it was yummy!
I am so blessed by this man. My friend Mindie told me recently that she enjoys that it's obvious that me and Shane are best friends. She said that we're the type of friends that finish each others sentences, know each others thoughts and have tons of inside jokes. She's right. I don't know what I would do without Shane and I couldn't imagine a better husband or father to our daughter.

2 Months

Hadley,
I cannot believe that you are two months old, baby! You have turned our world upside down and we are so in love with you. You have really grown this month! You are lifting your head up for longer periods of time, you are smiling more and you have started to have conversations with us. I love to hear your coos! They melt my heart. You've also started to take an interest in things that move or have lots of colors. You follow me with your eyes as I'm getting ready in the bathroom and you love to watch tv! If me and dad need to put you down to eat you are perfectly content watching tv. I think you like to watch the people moving and all the colors. Recently I introduced you to Praise Baby. You got a couple DVDs from your grandparents this past Christmas. You also got a Praise Baby c.d. that you and I listen to all the time. I love to rock you or nurse you while listening to it.
You had your 2 month check up today at the doctors office. You are a healthy 10 pounds! (25th percentile) And you are 22 1/4 inches long! (50th percentile) You had to get a few shots and you screamed so loud and turned bright red! It broke your mama's heart!
Lately you have started chewing on your fingers non-stop. If I take your mittens off you start chomping away! You like to ball your hand up and try to stick the entire fist into your mouth. You only seem to like your right hand, which makes me think you're right handed like me!
You have started to become a better sleeper! Thank you! You fall into a deep sleep around 9 pm and I dream feed you at 10 pm and you can sleep until 4-4:30 am! Way to go sister!
I love you baby girl! You are my sunshine!

Tummy Time Video

Hadley's getting so good at lifting her head up during tummy time. Right before this video she lifted her head and gave me the biggest smile... twice! I was hoping that she would do it a third time for the video, but she was having too much fun looking around to smile for me. Maybe next time!

Bath Time

I love to give Hadley her bath. It's such good mommy/baby time each night. She just stares up at me as I talk or sing to her. She's so precious!

Now it's time for her natural medicine- Colic Calm. It's supposed to help little tummies, but it is solid black. We have a little goth baby when she takes this medicine.

Going For a Walk

I love to take Hadley on walks! Too bad it's been too cold to go on many, but the ones that we have gone on have been successful. She loves to look around and seems to enjoy the bumpy road much like she does in the car. These are pictures of our first walk ever. Daddy came along for this one. Since then we've taken walks with our neighbors and friends Blair and Rhett. I'm looking forward to spring when the weather will allow us to go on more walks!
