9 Months

Hadley,
Once again mommy is shocked at how fast you are growing up! I feel like time has gone so much faster since you arrived. I am making a conscious effort to cherish our moments together, because I know that in the blink of an eye you'll be all grown up! So I catch myself just watching you throughout the day. I'll rock you a little longer then necessary before bed. I kiss you thousands of times a day. And somehow, my heart swells for you even more each day. You are my sunshine, sweet girl!
This month you have started standing on your own. Without pulling up on anything you'll stand up! It's such a fun trick to watch you do! Once you get on your feet you'll concentrate on balancing for a little while then plop back down on your bottom. Daddy was at the station the first few times you did it, so he finally got to see you do it about a week ago. He was very impressed. : )
Your becoming such a fast crawler. You seem to be everywhere at once! I feel like I need eyes in the back of my head to keep up with you! You love this new freedom you have. You'll spy something across the room and take off giggling after it. It makes me smile every time without fail! You love it when I get on the ground and crawl with you. You get the biggest smile and follow me all around the house.
There are three things that the majority of people say about you.
1. She's BEAUTIFUL!
2. Look at that red hair! It's gorgeous!
3. She is the most easy going baby!
Needless to say, your dad and I are very proud and always welcome these sweet comments about our bundle of joy!
I love you, sweetheart, so very much! You have brightened up my life in ways you'll never know!
Love always,
Mama
I love this one of you striking a pose!
This is my favorite little grin!

 Standing on your own!!

Talking and waving your arms around...

I'm predicting those top two teeth show up any day now.

 I love this one!

 My sweet girl.

"No thanks, mom, I'll take it from here!"

Look at this big girl holding her own pouch!

Lunch Date

This past month Shane started working part-time at Sachse, which is great, but leaves me and Hadley by ourselves a little bit more. Because of that, I've discovered that she's a pretty good lunch date!

I know it looks like these two pictures were taken on the same day, but they weren't. The top was a date to Fire House Subs and the bottom was a date to Freebirds.

Hadleys Crib

This month we decided that since Hadley could do this...

it was probably time to lower her crib to the bottom level, remove her bumper pads and take off her mobile!

Here's my happy girl with the finished product:
 Sweetest baby I know!

And to top it off... a video!

Rash

Since school is starting up pretty soon I have fallen a little behind on my blogging, but Haddie Faye is going to be 9 months tomorrow, so I need to catch up on some 8 month posts!
My mom has always told me that when I was a baby I would break out with a rash around the mouth when I would eat anything with cinnamon in it. I've started seeing Hadley do the same thing, but I haven't been able to narrow down whats doing it to her. In the first picture she had just eaten strawberry yogurt and in the second picture she had just had some garlic hummus. Luckily, it doesn't come very often, but it's interesting that it happened to me and is happening to her. I eventually grew out of it and I'm hoping that she'll do the same!

Hadley Waves!

A couple weeks ago Hadley woke up with a new trick... waving! It's just so adorable. She puts her whole arm into it! It can be hit or miss whether she'll wave to you, but I'm a pretty proud mama either way!

Dinner

Last night I made Hadley a smiley dinner of fruits and vegetables. Cute, right?
She was pretty excited about indulging in it!
Her excitement completely left when she realized mom wanted pictures of her before eating. Any idea how hard it is to get an 8 month old to look at the camera when there is food in front of them?
She kept wanting to eat... poor baby. Mom just wanted a few pictures. Is that too much to ask?
 And... Go!
Hadley is a pretty good eater for about 10 minutes. Then she gets bored and one by one drops everything on her tray onto the floor. I decided not to capture that part of the meal on camera. All of these are of her eating like a good little girl. : )

 Yummy!!

Team USA

The other morning I got Hadley out of bed and noticed that her pj's had a big ol' USA on the front... how appropriate! The summer olympics are going on right now and I had no idea that Hadley was so into them! : ) I keep telling her that she's my future gold medalist!

New Necklace

Hadley has been teething and recently its gotten quite a bit worse. She drools a lot and it was really affecting her sleep. One night I was checking a website called babysteals.com that sells baby items at a discount. They were selling Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces so I snagged one up. All the baby has to do is wear the necklace and it's suppose to help with teething pains. Amber works by the skin warming the amber which releases succinic acid and the oils are then absorbed into the blood stream. It sounds a little farfetched, I know, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
The site recommended putting it around her ankle and putting a sock over it for sleeping. I tried that and the first night she slept for 10 hours! That never happens. Now we call them our magic juju beads. I'm still not convinced that they are the reason for better nights of sleep, but I'm not complaining!
