Iphone Rewind

 Check out my foxy boy...

Ok, I admit it. It's ridiculous how many sleepy Brooks pictures I have.

 Hadley making me eggs.
 I pimped Brooks ride.

 LOVE
My babies are practically the same size.

At a Realtor's banquet with my love.

 Cutie pie!

Cousins

I am so grateful that my kids are going to grow up with cousins close to their age. It is so fun to see them develop friendships. Hadley absolutely adores all her cousins and Brooks will, too.
A typical interaction between Hadley and her cousins goes something like this...
Harper and Hadley love to play chase. Which is basically just run around the house in a circle and scream the girliest scream you can possibly muster. It's pretty stinkin' cute.
Aubrey and Hadley have such a mommy/baby relationship. Aubs takes Hadley under her wing and helps her around the playground, reads to her, plays with her and bosses her around. Again, it's pretty stinkin' cute.
Eli and Hadley have one of my favorite relationships. Typically I'll find myself giggling just watching them. Hadley in pretty mesmerized by whatever Eli is doing... and Eli LOVES it. Finally, he's the boss of someone. He dresses her up, brings her lightsabers and whistles and whatever cookey toy he finds, talks to her in the sweetest little voice "Come on baby!", and genuinely likes playing with her as much as she likes playing with him. Let me set up a scenario for you. The other day Hadley was eating in her high chair when Eli came over to play. He walked in the room, looked at Hadley, pulled his mouth apart with his fingers and stuck out his tongue. Without skipping a beat Hadley pulled her mouth apart with her fingers and stuck her tongue out at him. They both giggled and went on their way.

Christmas Morning

This was our first Christmas morning living in Abilene so we were able to wake up in our own house and open presents there! It was a lot of fun! I'm so glad that we are going to be able to do that from here on out!

It's really hard to get a picture of a 3 month old and 24 month old!

 Hadley and Dada opening gifts!

Christmas Eve

Shane had to work on Christmas Eve, which was definitely a bummer, but we were able to go visit him at the station. Here's some pictures from our trip...

Brooks 5 Months

Hey there smiley boy! 5 months have gone by so fast, buddy!! You have turned from a little blob to a smiley, giggly, little charmer! I am so in love with you and so proud that you are mine. God knew exactly what our family needed when he gave us you. You fit in so perfectly!
Here's some things you've been up to the past 2 months...
You are not much on napping. You pretty much stick to a 30-45 minute nap a couple times a day. Occasionally you've napped for longer, but it always leaves me worried since it's not typically your style. We finally moved you into your crib at night and started doing a little crying it out. It's really hard on me and you are a lot louder and more stubborn in your crying then your sister ever was! I told myself I would give it three nights, though. You typically still wake up once in the middle of the night then again around 6:30 or 7, but occasionally you will surprise me and sleep through the night. Mommy give your cheeks extra kisses those mornings!
You're a little spoiled and like to be held. It makes it difficult to get much done around the house, but that's ok. You're worth a messy house! Lately I've been putting in  the Praise Baby dvd and that buys me 30 minutes. You love it!
You're a big boy, brother. At your last check up on Jan. 15 you weighed 17 lb 11 oz (88%) and you were 26.25 inches (84%). Your head circumference was 44.5 cm (92%) so I like to say that you're my bobble head. You also had your first ear infection and had RSV at this appointment. My heart broke for you! You were put on some amoxicillan for your ears and also breathing treatments for a case of RSV. You were a trooper!
You can consistently roll from your stomach to your back! You can also roll from your back to your stomach, but not consistently yet. You've only done it a few times. We're currently working on tripod sitting and you can hold it for about 10 seconds before falling over or pushing yourself backwards.
You have the funniest scoot. Anytime I lay you on your back you arch your back and push with your feet causing you to scoot forward. I have to be careful about laying you on a bed or changing table!
Things Brooks likes:
-Being held
-Nursing
-Your paci
-Your mommy and daddy
-Your sissy when she gets close enough to touch or when she includes you in a tea party
-Your bouncer! You love to jump!
-Baths
-Being tickled
-Mommy blowing raspberries on your cheeks
-Taking your socks off and eating them... then eating your feet
-Blowing bubbles and raspberries
-Peek a Boo

Things Brooks does not like:
-Long car rides
-Being put down
-Taking naps
-Breathing treatments and taking medicine

I love you so much, sweet boy!!
