Sonic Date

My little girl has her first real friend. It does my heart good to see her and Charlee together. They play so well together and both look forward to play dates. "I wan Chawee!" They rarely have disagreements, which is not common with two 2 year olds. It's hard to see Hadley grow up, but so fun at the same time.

Quality Time with Brooks

With two kids it's hard to feel like I get real quality time with either one. The only time that I do is when they have opposite nap times. I love this little man so much and love the moments we spend just the two of us!

We built a fort...

It's nothing fancy, but the kids and I built a fort. You get desperate for entertainment when you're hulled up in your house during cold, rainy days. I think they liked it!

I love this picture~

Just one more!?

This kid. She's all about the phrase "One more?" She'll hold up her pointer finger and in the tiniest voice look at you with her big blue eyes... "One more?" Whether it be one more cookie or one more time getting thrown in the air, she's definitely learned the art of getting what she wants. Just look at her bed. Just one more stuffed animal?

Family Time

Family time is far and few between it seems now-a-days. Shane is working so hard to get his business off the ground on his days off; the poor guy is constantly going. (Thank you for working so hard for our family, babe! We love you to pieces!!) We really try and be intentional about getting out and doing stuff when we have family time together. Even if it is simply going in our backyard and enjoying each others company.

Hadley's "Nap" Time

Hadley's not too big on napping these days. In fact, most days she doesn't. We've worked out a system where she goes in her crib and reads books for an hour. I figure it's a win-win. She gets some alone time reading and mommy gets a break. A couple weeks ago I looked at her monitor and couldn't believe my eyes... she was asleep! My precious girl fell asleep reading. I thought it was so sweet that I snuck in her room and got a picture of it.

Brooksie's got rolls.

Look at my chunky monkey! LOVE him and his rolls! Hadley never had a roll so this is a new, fun experience for me. His expression is priceless, too!

Swinging at Nonnie and Tank's

I am LOVING that we are finally able to get outside after this extremely cold and long winter. The kids and I were so ready to enjoy the outdoors again. It's that perfect in between weather, too. Spring! Not too hot and not too cold. We can't get enough!

Brooks and Hadley

Hadley 28 months

Hadley Faye,
My spunky, emotional, energetic, brave buddy. Let me start out by saying that you officially have your first favorite Disney princess. Princess Anna from Frozen. You want to sing her songs and play with your Anna doll all the time. And if we let you you'd watch Frozen all day everyday. Today I witnessed you acting out a scene with your bath toys. "Do you wanna build a snowman??" You're so cute!
You are definitely trying to push boundaries lately.  You'll see exactly how far mom and dad will let you go before you get in trouble. We're figuring it out together, though, baby. We're all learning.
I thought I'd tell you about one of our latest conversations that I thought was funny:
Me- You're my best friend!
You- You're my best friend!
Me- I love YOU!
You- I love YOU!
Me- You're the BEST!
You- You're the BEST!
Me- You're beautiful!
You- Yeah.

Some other things you're loving lately include...
-Giving butterfly kisses
- Pretending to be a frog
- Running
- Story time
- Singing
- Shaking your booty. And you actually have pretty good comedic timing when you do that.

I love you baby! So much!
Mama

Brooks 7 Months

 Brooks,
You are turning from a sack of potatoes if-you-will to my rolling, babbling, laughing, eating, opinionated baby boy. You are so skilled at rolling all over the place now. You make it look easy! Today I actually saw you get on all fours so I know crawling is quickly approaching. Yesterday I saw you trying to pull up, but I think you're still a ways away from that! You've been getting so chatty and have definitely added dadadada to your vocabulary. I think it's replaced mama as your favorite word. I love how you babble your nonsense words. It's just the sweetest sound. You like to laugh. You laugh at your sister more than anyone else. She dances and you laugh. She squeals and you laugh. She laughs and you laugh. She's one of your favorites. You've started eating real food! Some favorites are puffs, beans, bananas and bread. You're so cute the way you gum your food then as soon as you see me hold up more you forcefully pull my hand into your mouth. At first you were NOT a fan of food, but I think you're coming around. I still consider you opinionated especially when it comes to me. You like your mama and think it's not asking too much for me to hold you 24/7. I have to admit that I love that you're a mama's boy. And your biggest accomplishment this month has been sleeping through the night consistently! YAY! I hope I'm not jinxing it by actually making mention of it, but it's definitely cause for celebration!
I love you, sweetie. More than you will ever know!
Mommy
