Swim Time!

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is swim. I love going to the pool and in Texas summer is hot so I was really hoping that Hadley would like going to the pool, too! I'm thinking that all my pregnancy swims are paying off, because she really likes it! She splashes around and is so fascinated by the water. She doesn't even seem to flinch when the water is cold. She's all about splashing around and I am so happy to have a water baby! Last week we decided to go to the pool in the morning before it got too hot. We got there around 9:30 and I have decided that that is the perfect time to go. It's not hot or crowded and the lighting is wonderful for pictures! Here are some of the pictures that I got of my little water baby! (warning- there's a lot!)
She loves to watch the water then hit it with her hands making it splash up!

I love that they're making the same face here!

I love these pictures of Shane throwing her in the air!

As always, going for the glasses.
 Sloppy kisses

 Jumping in the water.

I love this picture of my two loves!

Summer Picnic

The other night we took Hadley to have her first ever summer picnic. I packed her dinner of fruits and veggies and we were off. It was so fun to be together as a family enjoying the outdoors. Hadley loved watching the kids play on the playground. She wasn't too sure about the playground when it became her turn to play, but we'll get there soon enough.

Hadley and her dada enjoying our picnic together.
My sweet girl and her dinner.

Haddie and Momma on the swing. This is her 'it's too bright to look at the camera' face.
First time on a big slide with dad!
These two are my whole world.

Father's Day

Shane had a wonderful first father's day this year! Hadley worked really hard to make it a good one for him. She spent hours slaving away over his card...

And smiled extra pretty for his pictures!
She was in rare form on father's day, showing us all her best dance moves! : )

7 Months

Hadley Faye,
Sweet baby, you are 7 months old today. Mommy is having a hard time wrapping her head around that. You're closer to a year old then a newborn. Time has been flying by since you got here.
This month you have hit several milestones. You are sitting up like such a big girl. You no longer have to prop yourself up with your hands. You love to sit up! If we try and lean you back in your napnanny or stroller you'll put your elbows back and try and liiiiift your head up, but so far you're unable to sit up on your own. You like to sit on the floor with your toys all around you and play and talk and snort. Yes, snort. You're really into scrunching up your nose and snorting. Sometimes when you're sitting up you fall over and lightly bonk your head, but you let us know immediately that you did not like that. Mommy's having to learn to let you fall and not coddle you. Daddy says you'll never learn how to do things because I'm holding you so much. I can't help it! You're the cutest thing ever!
Speaking of Daddy, you must really be fond of him, because you said your first word this month and it was dada. Dadadadada you would say over and over. Your Daddy loved it. He would answer, " Yes, baby?" I'm pretty positive you'll say mama before long! : )
You have been eating more table foods this month. You get baby food for breakfast and dinner and veggies and fruits at lunch. You love cucumbers! You're getting better at feeding yourself.
You are working really hard at pulling up. You are so close. You pull on my arms and hair and whatever else you can to try and stand up. When you do finally stand up you love to jump! You get a huge smile on your face when you jump. It's so cute, babe!
You have been swimming lots of times now and you really like the water. You like to sit in my lap and splash with your hands at the water. You even got to see the beach for the first time a couple weeks ago. You loved it the first day and would splash around with your hands, but the second day you weren't as big of a fan. I think you were tired and ready for a nap, though.
I feel like you do new things daily. I know that soon you'll be crawling and pulling up and adding more words to your vocabulary. You are so smart and pick things up so well.
I am so proud of you and all you've done this month. You are so precious to me and I love you more then you'll ever know.
Always,
Mommy

*These are just a few of your 7 month pictures. I'll edit the rest and post them soon!
